Rest In Peace

This morning the hockey world lost several members when the team plane of KHL team Lokomotiv Yaroslavl crashed, killing 43 of the 45 passengers including former NHL players Pavol Demitra, Karlis Skrastins, Josef Vasicek, Karel Rachunek, Ruslan Salei, Alexander Vasyunov and the coaching staff Brad McCrimmon, Alexander Karpovtsev and Igor Korolev.

Only 2 of the 42 passengers on board survived the crash, including player Alexander Galimov.

It is a very, very sad day for the hockey world and I ask that you please leave your thoughts and prayers in the comments section as surely this tragedy hits home for many of you, including myself, on this the 10th anniversary weekend of 9/11.

  1. This is so sad. This reminds me of the tragedy that struck the Marshall football team.
